ABOUT RAISINS
Raisins are sun-dried grapes that can be consumed raw or cooked, with their variety determined by the grape type, size, and color—ranging from green and black to brown and yellow. Rich in natural sugars (up to 72% fructose and glucose), raisins also provide 3-4% protein, 3.7-6.8% dietary fiber, and essential minerals like copper, iron, and boron, which supports bone and joint health. Known for their high antioxidant content, low sodium, and zero cholesterol, raisins are also recognized for their low glycemic index and ability to help lower blood pressure when consumed regularly. Due to their unique taste and high nutritional value, raisins are widely used in a variety of Indian recipes, including sweets, desserts, bakery items, ice creams, ethnic dishes, and snacks. Available in various packaging sizes, raisins can be customized to meet public demand and specific requirements.
